Arcade Barbers has been offering professional hairstyling services to the Ann Arbor, MI area since 1917. We are located in the historic Nickels Arcade between State Street and Maynard.
We provide hair care services that can be tailored to virtually any style. By providing scissor cuts, clipper cuts and styling we help our customers look fashionable at an affordable price.
We have free internet access for you while you’re waiting. Our barber shop also carries the latest and greatest hair products that include brands such as Paul Mitchell, Nioxin, Bed Head and more.

Hello friends! Please read the following changes.
- Please check Schedule Notes for details on schedules.
- We accept credit cards or cash. Paying with cash is an easy thing you can do to help keep our costs down. Please bring the appropriate amount of cash, as we may not be able to make change. There are two ATMs nearby - 7/11 on State Street and Huntington on Liberty and State.
- Same day or next day appointments may be available. Appointments are available 2 weeks at a time. If the appointments are full, please check back at a later date for open time slots.
- PLEASE NOTE: A credit card is required to hold your appointment. We do not charge the credit card unless you do not show up or cancel the appointment 12 hours prior. If you can not make your scheduled appointment, you must cancel 12 hours prior to your appointment or you will be charged a $25 no-show fee. You may see a pending charge of $1.00 on your credit card after you book the appointment but no charges will be incurred unless you do not show up for your appointment or cancel.
- If you are having trouble booking an online appointment, please contact the shop at 734.665.7894.
- If you have a pending COVID test, please do not come to the barber shop for services until you have a negative test result or have recovered from your illness. If you have an appointment and start feeling unwell, please cancel and reschedule for a later date.
- Everyone must wait outside maintaining six feet of distance from each other. Only the customers who are getting their hair cut at their scheduled time are allowed in. This is for our safety and yours.
- We are not be able to open the door for conversations or questions as it will be locked during business hours to keep the number of people inside at a minimum.
- Only one parent or caregiver may enter with their child. If you schedule multiple children's appointments, make sure they are either all at the same time with different barbers, or you have an adult to look after them outside as we service them according to their appointment time.
- We are not doing beard trims, clean ups or shampoos at this time. We will inform you when we decide to start doing these services again.
- Arcade Barbers is not responsible if you get sick. By getting services you agree to these terms. We follow all state cleaning and safety protocols.
